Skandia, part of Old Mutual Wealth, today announces Gower Wisdom has been appointed as product director.
In his new role, Gower will be responsible for developing Skandia’s customer proposition, including product and pricing strategy for its UK, International and Continental Europe business. His focus will be developing new products and enhancing existing products to ensure they continue to deliver value to financial advisers and customers. A particular focus will be the development of the new retirement income proposition following the proposed changes announced in the Budget 2014.
Gower has worked with Skandia since 2011, most recently as head of protection product & pricing. He has been heavily involved in the development of Skandia’s protection proposition and managed the launch of its new high quality critical illness product in April last year. He has worked at Old Mutual group for a total of 10 years with roles in various parts of the business including product, finance and risk management.
Gower will report to Carlton Hood, customer solutions director at Old Mutual Wealth.
