Changing your financial adviser

Stage Description Comments

Advise Old Mutual that you have
appointed a new Financial Adviser
to service your policy/ies.

There is no form needed for this process.
A signed letter is all that is required.
Some Advisers have pre-printed forms that they complete and ask you to sign. These are also acceptable.

Please send your letter to:

Albert House,
South Esplanade,
St Peter Port,
Guernsey, GY1 1AW
Channel Islands

Please send your letter marked for the attention of the "International Policy Servicing" section.

All policies to be serviced by the new Adviser must be shown on the letter.

In order for copy correspondence to be sent to the new Adviser, we must be given their address for our records.

If the policy is owned by more than one person, all owners must sign the letter.

A faxed copy of the letter/form can be sent to us. However, we do ask that the original letter/form is sent for our records.

Old Mutual check to see if the new Adviser has an agency number with this Company.

Each Adviser has a unique number which is used to identify them. This is used to send them information on your policy.

Once the Agency number is established, the system is amended to reflect the new Adviser's details

Our standard turnaround time is 5 working days from receipt of the request.

Once the Adviser is changed, they will receive copies of all correspondence sent to you.

Please note:-
You may wish a Bank or Adviser to receive information as a one-off. This should be clearly stated and they should not be appointed as your adviser. They will then receive the information they request, but will not be entitled to this on a regular basis.
