The Old Mutual International Isle of Man Protected Return Fund (GBP and USD)

The Old Mutual International Isle of Man Protected Return Fund (“the Fund”) is a structured fund made available through Old Mutual International’s Portfolio Bonds, for customers around the world excluding the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Fund is available on a tranche basis. Each tranche is usually open for 4 to 8 weeks and we will notify advisers when a new tranche is opened.

The Fund in brief:

The Fund aims to protect the amount your client has invested and provide them a minimum return of 5% each year if held until the Fund’s Maturity Date. The 5% each year return is compounded; this means that the 5% annual return is reinvested into the Fund so that the anticipated final protected return at maturity is 27.628%.

The Fund also offers  a potential return linked to the quarterly averaged performance of either FTSE 100 or S&P 500 Index  (“the Index”) depending on the currency version selected. If the average percentage performance of the Index over the Reference Term is higher than the final protected return of 27.628%, your client will receive the average quarterly performance of the Index at maturity. Please see the relevant Old Mutual International Isle of Man Protected Return Fund brochure for illustrative examples of potential returns.

Please note that the 100% capital protection and return are subject to the client not withdrawing their investment from their Portfolio Bond or switching out of this fund before the Fund’s Maturity Date, and is linked to the credit risk of the companies involved (see the relevant Old Mutual International Isle of Man Protected Return Fund brochure). Your clients investment in this Fund is subject to this credit risk from the date we accept their investment instruction into the Fund.
